Risperdal male breast growth lawsuits claim that the drug has been associated with increased levels of the hormone prolactin, which is associated with breast development in girls and lactation in nursing mothers. They further allege that Johnson & Johnson and its Janssen Pharmaceuticals unit concealed knowledge of Risperdal male breast growth, and improperly marketed the antipsychotic for use in children before the FDA cleared the drug for such uses.
