I Heard that Johnson & Johnson Recently Reached a Risperdal Settlement with the U.S. Justice Department. Is this True?

Yes. The settlement was announced in November 2013, and resolved allegations that Johnson & Johnson and its Janssen unit had improperly marketed Risperdal and other drugs. Among other things, the companies agreed to pay more than $2 billion to resolve criminal and civil charges brought by the U.S. Justice Department. Among other things, the government had accused Johnson & Johnson and Janssen of concealing Risperdal side effects, including gynecomastia, and marketing the drug for off-label uses.
